Improve Your Move--Tip 1: Decide Who You Want To Be

I'm so excited to kick off this blog with a series that could not be a more appropriate first step to "getting it together." My husband and I are preparing to embark on a brand new adventure together that begins with moving out of our wonderful life in Denver, CO to a place that is, for me at least, foreign, frightening, and far away: Austin, TX.

Now I am terribly familiar with the process of moving. This will be the 11th time I have moved in my lifetime, 8 of which have been within the last 4 years. If there was such a thing as an expert box packer, I would probably be one.

Always be a first rate version of yourself...Anyone who has moved a lot, or maybe ever, can probably make a long list of things that are miserable about moving. But there is one thing I absolutely love about it. It is an incredible chance to really and truly start over. When you go to a new place you can become whatever version of yourself you want to be. I am so grateful for the chances I've had to move so many times and live in so many different places because it has allowed me to experience so many different sides of myself.

So here it goes again: the chance to start over and invest myself in becoming a new me that I've always wanted to be. And I believe that in moving, as in everything, you get out what you put in.

The good news is, if you plan ahead and organize beforehand it can be very easy to make a move go smoothly. The better news is, I'm here to share with you all my tips, tricks, and hacks to make it look easy!

I promise the rest of this series will be more hands-on and practical, but here's my first tip to Improve Your Move:
